G'day

This was a surprise packet last night when dining out. Garnet in colour, and clear and bright. Delicate nose of red cherries, with lots of savoury characters as well - charcuterie, a little wood smoke, earthiness or mushroom, all adding complexity to the nose. Palate is also light but the fruit flavours have some intensity, while the more savoury characters support in the background. Fine tannins and moderate acid lead to a linear finish.

The wine could not be described as powerful, but there's definitely a lot going on, and more than enough for everyone at the table to comment positively. Good wine.

Cheers
Allan
