There seems to be a wave of Chardonnay making at the moment where citrus is prized over any other supporting character. I've found some Tasmanian chardonnays in particular to have this characteristic. Not this wine.
Sure, there's some citrus in amongst a melange of ripe yellow peaches, hazelnuts, cedary oak, and lightly buttered toast, but it doesn't dominate. The palate is also finely balanced between lemon pith, peaches, nectarines, cleansing acid, and savoury oak.
This wine is a good example of modern Australian chardonnay making. There's a number of elements to the wine, mostly balanced and complementary, rather than one or two characters dominating.
Good wine

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
