Hi all,

I noticed that I've just been charged ~$200+ on my credit card by what looks to be the McWilliam's wine club.

I haven't made a purchase from them since December 2016 and certainly have never been on their wine club before!

Anyone else experience anything like this?

I'm sure a quick phone call will (should) sort it out, just keen to hear with it was something systemic or not...

Thats just straight up not legitimate. I had the same thing happen last year - unexpected charge from a vendor I had used before, they knew nothing about it, so credit card cancelled.

Call McWilliams to confirm and then go through the whole credit card cancellation process

Yeah our cc was apparently booking motel rooms and hire car in the USA and diet pills before we cancelled it

So by way of update, I spoke to a very helpful staff member yesterday who confirmed they had processed the transaction on the belief I was (or intended to be) a member of their wine club.

It was very odd that the basis of this belief was a comment in a December 2015 email between me and them asking if I could get access to member's pricing whilst on the mailing list!

Anyway, all's well that ends well - they've refunded the transaction. I'll put this one down to administrative error!
