Very pale yellow. Lemon, nectarine, white peach, more stone fruits. Oak is present, but more on the palate than the nose.

The big palate is where it happens - some meal and cedar tasting quite oaky with the stone fruit only in support on the palate. Tannic grip. The finish is medium to long, possibly because it contains the various elements described previously. A little complexity, but at the moment I can separate the components. Needs more time.

Moved from 'very pale yellow' to 'pale yellow'; that is, not much. The stone fruits still dominate the nose, and oak is in the background.

As before, the oak is more dominant on the palate, but is starting to integrate nicely, and the amount of grip has reduced (or merged into other characteristics). It's starting to come into balance now, but should improve further over the next 2+ years. A good wine now, however.
