TN: Tucks Ridge Buckle Chardonnay 2011

Post by Waiters Friend »

This is the reserve chardonnay, rather than the 'standard' model.

Pale yellow in colour. Lovely lemon nose, with a little grapefruit, and cedar. The palate follows the nose, with more lemon and citrus, supporting acid, and a tiny bit of grippy mouthfeel.

This is a very good example of a straightforward chardonnay. There doesn't appear to have been much in the way of barrel ferment or lees work and it's a delicious, if simple, example. Age has not developed this to any great extent.

Cheers

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
