G'day

This premier cru Burgundy appears to have been labelled for Langtons, but made by Louis Jadot. This bottle has been tasted over two nights.

Bright garnet in colour. The nose is apparent from half a metre away - very perfumed, with red and black cherries, five spice, a little mushroom, and a touch of leather.

The palate is bright and fresh, with more ripe cherry fruit, clean supporting acid, modest fine tannins, a hint of leather polish. This all leads to a gentle finish of medium weight. All in all, a pleasant but not spectacular wine.

Cheers
Allan

Hospices whites can occasionally be decent, but good luck trying to find a memorable Hospices red. The best barrels are often for private consumption, and therefore are not commercially released.
