Hi all,
I'm going to be staying in Queenscliff on the Bellarine peninsula for a few days and I would really appreciate some guidance on wineries to visit. I'm over from SA and don't know a lot about the local producers so anything will be a great help!
Cheers

I did a flying visit through there a few months ago. I was pleasantly surprised about the region. Would love to go back and explore some more.
We only visited Jack Rabbit Wines for lunch, which was brilliant. The Food, Wine, service and location was top notch.
Next time I would like to visit Clyde Park, Lethbridge and Bannockburn Vineyards (give them a call to make an appointment).

A thing to watch is that the Geelong region is fairly spread out, and at Queenscliff you're right at the eastern end. Some of the wineries are west of Geelong which is a fair way away.
We also did a flying trip through there a couple of years ago. Oakdene was definitely worth it. Others have raved about Scotchmans Hill but I thought the wines were ordinary the day we were there,

I've never visited them, but have been a big fan of Curlewis.

I'll second Oakdene. Their wines are classy, and depending on the time of week, you might have more than one dining option there.
Further afield is Lethbridge which might take an hour to get to up to the north on the road to Ballarat, and Clyde Park is close to there and boasts an excellent vista for a pizza lunch or something more substantial if you fancy. Their al-fresco area is all renovated and looking good.
Provenance Vineyards might be closer by, and their Golden Plains Chardonnay is quite good.
See if you can get in to IGNI. It's in town. (Geelong)

Thanks gang - I will definitely be focusing on the eastern part of the Bellarine but hoping I get the chance to explore the Lethbridge area a bit too!

Lovely people at Oakdene! The wines aren't bad, too.
