G'day
This winery is just outside the northern boundary of the Margaret River region. It produces some wines from it's own vineyards, and some from Margaret River or Frankland River fruit. This is off the home block.
Deep purple in colour. Delightful and rich nose of blueberries, blackberries, a hint of tobacco, black olive, and sweet oak. The palate is expressive, with a wash of dark fruits over savoury characters, integrated tannins and good supporting acid. The 13.5% alcohol doesn't show much at all. A well balanced wine that will go the distance (I had a 2008 in the past few months and it was humming nicely).
Cheers
