Tasted at a restaurant, low lighting so no clues on colour.

Dense liqueured berry nose, and borderline sarsparilla/flat cola nose that you can get on very ripe wines. The palate shows some outstanding fruit, not over ripe and jammy as the nose might have hinted, just layers of dark fruits. Pure, warm, and just a bit of alcoholic tingle. Dense, mouthfilling, ripe, and yummy. Note that others around the table found this a bit porty.

If you have some, leave it for at least 5 years. Maybe longer.

I liked it. $100+ is pushing it on price, but it does compete with the likes of Stonewell and Meshach for quality, and I prefer this style.

Cheers

Andrew
