1998 Mitchell Watervale Riesling, Clare Valley (cork): 12.5% alc. Medium yellow/gold. Toasty, buttery and full of spice, bluegum honey, ginger, sweet lemon and banana cake; the palate’s just as finely balanced, with bright acidity mid-palate that is piercing but not harsh, and a grippy, sweet, long slately finish. A great bottle of 1998 Clare Valley Riesling is something to behold, cork withstanding
