Torbreck 'The Struie' Shiraz 2004

A mix of Barossa and Eden Valley fruit, according to the back label.
Red / purple in colour. A rich nose redolent of vanilla, cloves, stewed plums, dark chocolate, and dark fruits. The palate is plush and velvety, with the chocolate and dark fruits flooding the palate. There's fine, integrated tannins, moderate acidity, and quite a long finish.
A full bodied wine, showing very well right now. It may plateau for a couple of years, but why wait?
Cheers
