2009 Chateau Cantegril Sauternes (cork): 14% alc.Bright straw/gold. Opens with sweet quince and lemon zest, melon and orange, then barley sugar; with breathing more botrytis/plastic characters emerge with nutty/malty oak and lifted/slightly volatlie airplane glue characters. The palate’s powerful, sweet and punchy, a great mixture of sweet candied fruits and nutty oak, just stopping from becoming cloying. A great match with dark chocolate right now.
