Faber Vineyard Riche Shiraz 2012

John Griffiths makes at least three shiraz wines from Swan Valley fruit most years. This is the entry level wine.
Entry level doesn't mean thin and insipid, however. This is a purple black wine redolent of dark fruits - black plums, blueberries, supported by vanillan oak and some coffee, chocolate and clove. The palate is rich (as the name suggests) - full bodied, textured, with good supporting acid and chunky tannins.
Thoroughly delicious, and will go another few years yet. Great value for money at a little over $20
Cheers
