Hi everyone,

Rocket Restaurant, Chatswood @ 6.30pm
Wednesday 27th April

Theme: Open 'regional stars' theme, with a side focus on the Jura. Always nice to get a few random world wines in the mix so it won't be all chardonnay, oxidative savagnin and trousseau. A classic German Riesling, a Bordeaux, a red Burgundy, a Hunter Shiraz, all these kinds of regional stars are also welcome for half the lineup.

Your wines, chilled if needed
Around $110 in cash per person (c/c is accepted, but cash preferred)
2 or more glasses (only if you choose to)

(original post)......so following a chat last night, it seems deejay81 and lauren need to try some Jura wines for the first time, and it needs to be ASAP.

I'm setting a date of Wed 27th April, once more at Rocket Restaurant in Chatswood. (yeah unimaginative choice of venue, but it's so good for offlines - I'll see if they can change up the menu a bit, and yes I will ensure there will be Comté with Vin Jaune).

Not going to be many spots available, since there was a lot of interest from last night's attendees and a few Jura fans I know as well. 12 spots max.

So let's get some confirmations and expressions of interest from people, and we'll go from there.

Thanks Tim, I should be okay for this date, though I don't own any Jura so would have to be on the other regional star side of the fence!

Ok sorry to hear that David. Reckon you'll be drinking well that weekend anyway, not to mention supping all that Champagne from the enormous cup of victory.

Ugh..I can't go that date...Just realized my flight is leaving that day...

See how we go, prob try to stick to Fri, but would the Thursday night be do-able if it comes to that?

Tim - Yeah..but don't worry about it..Unless Cam is ok with the move (and we're the only two that have confirmed so far outside of yourself).

First step is deejay and lauren's availability, then confirm with the venue (or change the venue), then we'll lock it in.

Done some asking around and it's looking like Wed 27th is the go, although this depends on deejay and lauren being able to make it. Have PM'ed them.

Hate to say Tim but I can't make it next week. Absolutely slammed after just returning from Spain. I have a few good Ganevats I would have been keen to bring too
