Great intensity of boysenberry and blackcurrant fruit on the nose, hints of violets and vanilla also, but its on the palate this wine really shines. This wine is all about style and class, its not a blockbuster, but a structured medium weight wine of great class and style. Mouthfilling with blackberry and blackcurrant fruit and very ripe fine grained tannins on the longish finish. Loads of class and style, this is a highly recommended wine especially for those not wanting an in your face fruit bomb style - the tasting panel loved this wine. - Gavin

What tasting panel? If you are refering to Davis, Green and 707 they are a guzzling pannel not a tasting panel! :roll:

I thought it was ok but wouldnt gush and rave about it as much as you did.

My TN is a s follows

Kilikanoon Blocks Road 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Aug 03 sells for $27 at CD. It exhibited sweet cassis fruit, almost dusty oak, milk chocolate, sweet mint and eucalyptus on the bouquet. Smooth ultra fine grained unobtrusive tannins do a good job of hiding but they are there to provide a solid backbone and supple consistency to this ample weight wine with an agreeable level of complexity. The palate is a bit of a surprise due to the sweet characteristics of the bouquet. Taste is very savoury berry on the attack, milk chocolate and some sweet berry flavours on the mid palate with dark, almost bitter chocolate on the finish. Not exactly varietally correct but a nice well made Cabernet (that lacks distinction) but one that should get better with time. Rated as Recommended with *** for value. It should enter its drinking window in a few years.

Davis Green and Wickman, guzzling panel certainly.

Davis Green Trott and the significant other liked it more than Wickman it must be said, and it was one of the wines we all kept going back to over a bbq afterwards, I loved it.

Had the Grenache last night and am a fan of that also.
