Hi all.
I thought it might be an idea to start collecting some wooden wine boxes to house my collection for the little nieces and nephews. Also will make it easier to store under the new house, as I won't have to worry about box rot (as all cardboard gets weak with age).
So I tried the local Dan's near work (Camberwell) only to find they'd thrown them all out the week before. Tried more locally to home (Mornington) and found that they get taken home by the staff. Two very different ways of disposal. I'll be trying other places...
SO...
If you're out and about at your local wine store - can you ask, for dear ol' Cloth Ears (that's Jonathan in non-bit land) if they have any of those nice wooden wine crates out the back? Dozen or half-dozen size, I don't mind. And don't worry about collecting them - just let me know via PM or email and I'll be running off to see them. After the Dan's in Camberwell experience, I wasn't planning on paying for them - and I have plenty of time to collect. Oh, and I'm in Melbourne, so not much further afield than that teeming metropolis...

Thanks, Mike.
Langtons called me back and offered that I could go down to their warehouse in Hopper's Crossing and take as many as I liked. Great company! Will be doing this next Monday, I hope.
