This Yarra Valley producer has produced some quality wines over the years. I've enjoyed their sparkling wine and pinot noir as well.

A delightful nose, with some developed characters sitting alongside red plums, blueberry, mocha and vanilla, and slightly lifted dried apricots. The palate is a little hot (or acidic) but this is offset to some extent by the plummy fruit and milk chocolate flowing across the tongue. Medium length and body, but reasonably complex and definitely worth a look.

Opened my last bottle tonight. If anything, this has got better in the intervening 3 years. The nose is still largely as before, but the palate has really settled down. The heat is gone, and the fruit and chocolate has integrated with the tannins and acid, to produce a balanced and texturally satisfying wine. Drink now.

Thanks for the update Allan. I have a bottle or two of this but from either '05/'06 vintage and was a little worried by the mention of apricots and heat in your earlier note, the apricot signifying too much Viognier in the blend. However your current notes suggest that the wine has cellared well and gives me hope for my bottles.
