Hi guys, its been a while since I have posted on here and happy fathers day for all the dads tomorrow.
I am flying out to HK tomorrow night for business for 4 days, but have prob 2 days of sightseeing and am keen to try and find a bargain or 2. My question is, are there bargains to be had in HK? If so, where?
I realise that there are limits on bringing stuff back in, but if I can grab a well priced Bordeaux or burgundy, then I would grab a couple.
Thanks for your help and advice

Felix may be of more assistance as I don't buy retail as I find it too expensive compared to buying direct from the UK/Europe. I have a member of my wine group who's a big Burg importer at L'imperatrice. Great range but can be expensive.
Be careful! The $AUD has swung so much that some stock will be very expensive in your home currency terms. And on what you can bring back, there is no limit, there's just Customs. My wife brought down 4 cases of Bruno Giacosa wines in OWC and argued that coz they jimmied open one box she shouldn't pay any duty. They agreed.
Make sure you BYO. Even if you pay $10 to $40 Aussie a bottle. Still worth doing !

Jamie, sorry, but please could you explain why your wife argued that she didn't need to pay duty. Because they opened the box? I can't see how that should matter.

Because they opened the box and no it shouldn't have mattered but Customs are fair and reasonable and frankly, probably have a lot more to worry about than some wine.

Thanks. I assume they were looking for something 'stronger.' Still, it's strange that she was 15 times over limit and they turned a blind eye.....
