TN: 98 Brothers in Arms Shiraz

A surprise on this one, at least to me. It was so smooth and soft on release I didn't know if it would develop, although it was a good drink out of the gate. Anyway:

Dark red color with just a hint of purple now. Beautiful aromatics of plums, milk chocolate and mint. Flavors of boysenberries, plums, milk chocolate, vanilla and mint. Long, long finish of mint, boysenberries and vanilla. Rated as Excellent, up from Highly Recommended.

This was my last of 4 bottles, and it turned out to be the best. Beautifully integrated, if you have any of these I would try one now. The Metala Vineyard turned out several gems from the '98 vintage, what a great vineyard.
