FYi - I have no connection with this event - I'll be partaking at the public tasting session early on the Saturday morning. Last year's challenge was awesome. Sore head at the end of the day. Looking forward to catching up with other CBR folk there.

SEMINAR ON RIESLING EXCELLENCE
Friday 17 October 10am – 2.30pm.Hyatt Hotel, Canberra. (Light lunch included). Seminar hosted by Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga. Tickets $60.

RIESLING MASTER CLASS
Friday 17 October 2.30pm – 4.30pm, Hyatt Hotel, Canberra. The Riesling Master Class will feature internationally recognised Riesling experts who will guide participants through a range of Rieslings from around the world and across styles. Tickets $85

AWARDS PRESENTATION CEREMONY AND CELEBRATION OF RIESLING
Friday 17 October 6.30pm, Hyatt Hotel Canberra. A limited number of tickets to the Awards Ceremony will be available for purchase through the CIRC Secretariat. Tickets $80.

TRADE & CONSUMER TASTING
Saturday 18 October 11am – 3pm, Albert Hall (Trade representatives and exhibitors from 10am) Taste the entries for yourself at the consumer tasting. Tickets $30pp (at the door) and include a souvenir Riedel tasting glass and a copy of the official CIRC Results Catalogue.

Good to catch up with the most of the regulators at this event. Top stuff!

A lot more hits than misses ( Czech riesling and the 04 Petaluma come to mind) but it was great to calibrate the palate for the 14' vintage. Pikes, Wilson vineyard, some other regulars - riesling freak, bests et al stood out from the crowd.
