Well I know everyone is probably Wendoureed out with the mailer discussion etc but I just wanted to acknowledge some excellent customer service.many of you who have been dealing with these lovely folks for years probably expect it.

Some of you will have noted I took a 1998 Wendouree Cab Malbec to a recent offline. Sadly it was pretty badly corked.

At the recommendation of a few of the guys I penned a polite letter to Tony and Lita noting what had happened and asking if they had any museum stock I could purchase to replace the bottle. I notes I still had the cork and remnants of the wine.

Today a replacement 1998 Cab Malbec arrived, no invoice, no questions.

Absolutely amazing.

I had a David Franz 2003 Georgie's Walk Cabernet that was buggered by Bark last week. Quick email and replaced like for like. Glad Dave has moved to screw cap.

That's good news. :)

Coincidentally we had an absolutely shocking run with Wendouree corks at the AFWAC tasting last Monday night - out of 21 bottles, 7 were badly cork tainted! It seems a very high number, but we did have three or so Winemakers at the tasting who all confirmed these bottles were stuffed by cork taint. :(

Phill kept the leftovers and was going to contact Tony & Lita with the bad news, hopefully it will be a similar outcome. :|

Cheers,
Ian
