Dark brick red in colour. After decanting it for 20 minutes, the nose was very tight that showing only a hint of cedar, black berries and prune. After one hour in the glass, the wine opened up and it continued to do so over the next 3 hours. The wine envolved so much it was like having four seasons in one hour. The palate was medium in weight which was a real surprise to me in contrast to Grange. It showed black fruits, hint of cigar box and dark chocolate. The tannis was extremely fine and velvety and smooth. Everything was intergrated and showing excellent balance. The finish was extremely long and it sticks to the mid palate like there is no tomorrow
After 3 hours it was all gonet. This is by far the best wine I have tasted so far. It gives a WOW factor to me anyway. This wine will go for a few more years with amount of fruit showing.

Envious Rob.

The 88 Mt Edelstone an outsanding wine too. Worth chasing up for a comparison.

It would be about half the price of HofG at auction too-if any came up!
