Visiting Sydney wine enthusiast will be in Adelaide next Wednesday.
Bring a bottle of something nice...
FYI - Food prices at T-Chows have risen but corkage still the same at $6 per head.
Any interest ?

Sounds interesting but I just can't do reds with Chinese. Spices are in conflict with the wine flavours and it's likely to be like being in an oven down here over the next week or so. TC's a/c can be a little iffy.

Hey chaps..
Never had a problem matching food and wine at T-Chows.. although the AC could be a bit of a worry...
Any suggestions for a venue change ?
The person is somebody who does not frequent any forums but has a keen interest in wine.

If you end up going somewhere not too expensive, I'd be tempted to come along too. I've not been to an offline auswineform tasting before. I don't know the restaurants in town well enough to suggest anywhere, though.

T-Chows is usually a good choice as they used to be around $20 to $30 per head including corkage but they have gone up around 20-30% lately I hear..

Park Lok @ 130 Grote St Adelaide, is the new fave for those who went off T-Chow's.
Similar prices and seems less"oily" to me
cheers

Anything with a bit of age would be great.
Gail is now coming so we will probably bring a 98 Irvine grand merlot plus a white, probably champagne.
Cheers

I've got a meeting straight after work tomorrow, so I'm going to have to miss this one.
Cheers,

I don't have anything much with any bottle age. Perhaps an Hunter Valley Sémillon?
EDIT: hmm, not sure I'll make it now -- it seems to conflict with a meeting I thought was on Thursday. I'll check...
gavin,
