Colour on this is still yellow without gold tinges, and appears youthful.

No kero on the nose. Fruit has diminished somewhat, and the trademark streak of lime is offset to some degree by florals and a touch of honey.

The palate reveals a little more of the honey, but some lively acid and the cleansing citrus flavours tell me this may not have hit its peak yet. It's travelling much better than a couple of 2004 Petalumas I've had over ther past year. A shame this is my last one! If you still have some, you might enjoy them now, but they have at least another couple of years in them.

Had the 2002 last night and it was just awesome. I think still plenty of development left in it too as it was just beginning to yellow with touches of honey and lime, great acidity and long finish but still seemed to have lots of youthful vigour. I suspect not close to its peak yet although I gather 02 was a cracking vintage. This one was under cork too. I have one cork and one screwcap left so may hold a little longer.
