2004 vintage in SA - a small snippet

Hello

Not to be taken as a full indication of the 2004 vintage of course, but the following snippet should be of interest.

"All very good so far . Cool nights are helping to contain fast

ripening and warm ferments. Colours and structure of Cabernets

in line with 2002. We are just over half way."

Other anecdotal things I've heard have included many saying as good as 2002. A couple have reported loss of fruit from the short intense hot spell, but most are saying their vineyards un affected.

Early days of course.
