Probably not. Open it and find out, certainly no point in keeping it longer.

My Pop once said 'Wine is better in a glass, not in a bottle.' ... Pour yourself one and find out!

Re: 1978 Orlando jacobs creek claret
was the 1978 one of the 1st of these wines? If so it may be worth keeping/collecting?
just discovered the 1973 was the first of these released in 1976 -a much better wine in those days imho. Yours may still be quite drinkable but probably not worth many $$.

If you can remember what a wine is like the next day you didn't drink enough of it

It all depends on how it was stored. If properly cellared it may be surprisingly good. Remember to serve it with food.
As for the '83 Orlando port, it should be fine, old Australian port can be very long lived. A few years ago I had a '67 Stonyfell and it was fine. I've even had some De Bortoli port from the early 80s that I picked up at cellar door. They were a bit sweet but in good condition as well.
Good luck................Mahmoud.

Hi,luke,
I am new to red wine and have not much knowledge of this.
It said" named after jacobs creek site of johann grams first wineyard" on the label.
"adelaide wine show silver medal class 17 1979" on the top left of the label.
