Half Bottles of Chardonnay?

I am finding half bottles very convenient these days especially when going out with my wife. I have quite a few reds in this format but no good quality chardonnays, especially Margaret River or Yarra Valley examples. Can anyone lead me to any winery bottling chardies in 375ml bottles these days?

Hacker, I'm in the same boat. I do enjoy a half bottle, both for the variety and if there nothing left over it means there is a greater chance of an AFD the following day.
Most recent purchase was Curly Flat 2010 Chard. Not unreasonable price and freight free from cellar door.
A few of the Fevre Chablis range have been in halves too, far too easy to finish a bottle.

Cheers
TA

Not especially known for their Chardonnays, CRAIGLEE are available in halves too.

Hi Hacker

I always try to pick up halves when they are around. Previous purchases in clude St Hallett Blackwell, Bin 28 and recently a couple of boxes of the 2010 Riebke.

Could you please tell me which wineries you know of that produce halves?

TIA

Michael

You have mentioned some of those on my radar - I believe the Blackwell's are available again - Rockford Cab, and I have also bought some frog stuff as well....Clos des Lambrays, some Bouchard red and white burgs, some Pierre Peters NV champagnes. The Riebke's were a good deal!

Cheers,

David.

Shaw & Smith do the M3 Chardonnay in half bottles (and also the Shiraz).

If you do a bit of Googling it seems that you can find some from Xanadu, Kooyong Estate, Moorooduc Estate and possibly even Moss Wood and Mount Mary as well. In some cases though it seems the half bottle is only a few dollars than you may be able to find a full bottle for.

Spring Vale do most of their wines in half bottles. They're a Tassie producer.

The Blackwell halves are available again - less than half the real retail price of the full bottle.......
