Chardonnay with no melolactic fermentation

Hi all - this is my first post on the Auswine forum. I was hoping that someone could point me in the direction of any Aussie chardonnays that do not undergo any melolactic fermentation.

Kooyong Estate - I think this applies across the whole range.

All of them. It's a rare chardie that has any melo in them, a full malo is almost non-existant much to my sadness.

Pretty sure Mount Mary Chardonnay is no malo (and often underated in my opinion).

Yabby Lake - I am working my way through what I think are good examples that I think may be no malo and looking at the winemaking on their websites confirming that is the case. It is somewhat interesting to read the winemaking notes when looking at this - e.g. the Vasse Felix Heytesbury 2010 notes "no malolactic fermentation was encouraged, though a small amount occured in 2010."

I think Bannockburn is now 100%. In my searches I also noted that a Stella Bella was 100%. I am not sure on Stonier KBS and Tapanappa Tiers but I assume it is quite high in both of those as well and certain years of Moorooduc Estate.

And of course another aspect of it is 'no intentional malolactic fermentation'. Quite a few winemakers will say no malo, but with the proviso of 'well not that we know of, if it happened naturally, hey so be it'.

This isn't true at all. Definitely quite a few Australian wine producers have gone to the exact other extreme lately (with no malo) but there are most definitely still quite a few that do full malo or partial malo.
There are quite a few good examples of Chards that have not gone under malo...but same w/ oak, I don't think Australian Chardonnay is suited to the no oak or very old oak and no malo....I'm definitely not a fan of super over oak + full malo....but I think a little bit of malo and a bit of oak makes for a very well balanced Australian Chardonnay...
