Beringer Blass launch/lunch

Interesting launch and lunch for the new Wolf Blass Platinum, Black label and re badged and priced Wolf Blass colour range, red label, gold label etc.
Held at the Grange Jetty restaurant here in Adelaide overlooking, you guessed it, the Grange jetty! What a great effort from the restaurant, 6 courses, each made to match a wine. All were excellent, delicious and worked really well with the wine. Serves were generous, and the cooking of the highest standard. I'll definitely go back for a la carte
Add to that Wolf Blass at his entertaining best, Mark Bickley and some very good wine and company and you have a great afternoon.
Wine highlights
2001 Platinum, is a serious 'wow' wine, outclassed everything else there, (as it should).
2000 Black label - not my favourite style, but intense, serious 'Black label' style, well made and rich.
2002 Gold Label Shiraz Viognier - the surprise packet of the day, wonderful balance and intensity. Now I see whay it got all those medals, seriously tasty wine, very well priced indeed.
Surprise of the day, Grey label Cabernet 2002 - really enjoyed this and I've never been a great supporter of the Grey label but this was classy, varietal, and very aromatic!
