Hi all,
The second gathering of Melb-based tasters is just around the corner.
Melbourne CBD Wine Tasting Group
Sat 15th October
6.30pm for a 7.00pm start
Theme: Bottles of “other†Aust wine varieties (where the wine is Aust-made, too). “Other†is defined by what it is not (including blends with > 50% from these varieties): not Shiraz, Cabernet, Traditional Cab blends where Cabernet is the major component even if <50%, (any wines 70%+ Merlot I’m allowing because we Aussies don’t drink much Merlot-dominant wines), Pinot Noir, Riesling (sorry Edward), Sav. blanc, and not Semillon. (BTW, special pleadings for exceptions will be given a fair hearing.)
Cost: there will be catered food of excellent standard at approx $55 per head.
This tasting really is going to be something completely different, a great opportunity to experiment with other varieties in the safety of a Melbourne home!
If interested, please RSVP to John Lowry: j.lowry@bigpond.net.au
