Hello All
Something recently reminded me that I have a bottle of Hamilton Centurion 100 Y.O. Vines McLarenvale Shiraz 1998 from a Halliday's Top 100 circa 2000 mixed case, lurking in my meagre collection. JH gave it a big rap and 95 pts but have heard virtually nothing of this winery/winemaker since. Is Richard Hamilton still making wine in the Vale but simply slipped into obscurity, being overshadowed by wineries such as D'Arenburg, Wirra Wirra, Coriole etc? Or was the winery taken over? Winepros lists a fairly big portfolio. The Gumpr's Block name I associate, somehow, with another label these days.
Has anyone tasted the Centurion 98? Halliday's drinking window is 03-20.
Cheers
