In a previous thread Graham posed the following damn good question:-

I can think of a few answers but why not throw it open to members of the forum to get their opinion, funny answers allowed.

I think it's more of a "ism" than an "ology"

When you read the forthcoming TORB TREK articles on Ric's recent Vic trip, you can blame me for any spelling errors that slip through and Kris (BB) for any grammatical contortions that survive our vigorous editing

Ric
I believe that ology is "the study of"
then in simplistic terms a torbology is
"the study of red liquids"
then maybe
"the study of red liquids that cannot be seen through"

Brian, I bet your and Kris' efforts were not only most vigorous but exceptionally laborious as well
I'm not sure that I'll enjoy a sanitised version of Ric's ramblings as much as his pure, original and unexpurgated prose that has given me such pleasure when the revelation, "YES!! That's what he means!" hits me.
Nonetheless, I am eagerly ancticipating reading the "Torbologist's Guide to the Bigotted Wines of Victoria"

daz, it's not labourious at all, I get a preview and head-start on the 'must-buys'
I only fix the spelling and obvious typos that Word doesn't find, leave the rest alone so you won't be disappointed, I'm sure Kris is a light-handed editor as well.
