Good Evening all,
I am heading down to Melbourne soon and driving to the Mornington Peninsula. We are booked into Montalto for lunch and then heading around to some vineyards.
What vineyards do people recommend as a must see.
regards
Mathew

Paringa, Ten Minutes By Tractor and Red Hill are ones I have enjoyed recently. Was disappointed by Montalto I'm afraid.
Cheers
Dave

concur with above points, but would also add that Foxies Hangout in Red Hill is well worth a visit too. There are a couple of surprisingly good wines, but that physical aspect of the joint is superb - from the run of the vines to the ultra-modern cellar door and kitchen. Food is excellent in a less formal style than most down there. Meals, or a small plate menu.
I haven't been since summer when it was a sublime way to spend the arvo, but I reckon it'll be just as good with the wood-fire blazing in winter.
