Hi all,

Im off to the US on holiday shortly and have been lucky enough to get a booking at the French Laundry. My wife and I will be driving up there from San Fran on a Friday and returning the next day (dinner is the Friday night). This leaves us two days to sample some wineries around the area.

Do anyone have any thoughts on where we should go and any places to avoid?

Hi,
You will have an awesome dinner it is a great restaurant. Flora Springs in St Helena is pretty good as well as ACME wine shop also in St Helena.
On the way to St Helena checkout Whitehall Lane for Cabernet and Nickel&Nickel for awesome chardonnay.

On Silverado Trail checkout Darioush they make a shiraz, Cliff Lede, Duckhorn, and Joseph Phelps.
