With a couple of great recent vintages (07 + 08) in the Margaret River, was wondering what Cabernets people would recommend putting in the cellar for the next 10-15 years in the $30 or less range?
Cheers,
Andrew

if you can stretch yourself a few dollars over $30 you will open up your opportunities:
Woodlands Margaret Cab Merlot
Vasse felix Cab
Juniper Estate Cab
Cape Mentelle Shiraz
Cullen Mangan

Agree on stretching the budget a few more dollars. Voyager Estate always give great value a few years down the track.
I'm told the Fraser Gallop wines will come on really well, but mine are all locked away. They come in under $30 too.
Cheers,
Spk.

What about the Moss Wood Amy? Not 100% sure of what that costs these days though.

apparently the 2005 'the reserve' shiraz by evans and tate is a ripper. rrp $30
cape clairult have a 2004 shiraz for $20 at the moment. pretty good value for money at the moment but needs another 5 - 7 years imo.

Halliday gives Fraser Gallop Cab(Bordeaux blend) 07 a 15 year drinking window. I may get another couple of bottles after I try the one I got today for $23.70 tomorrow evening. Yalumba's ring.bolt Cab 07 is a cracker for the $16.90 I paid, should cellar 10+ years. Also consider 07 cabs from Great Southern/Mt Barker - WA isn't just all about Margaret River.
Cheers

The Voyager Estate Shiraz has always been a solid bet.
