				Hi
I have just received the Sevenhill cellars shiraz 1991 as a gift. It does not specify any other brand name on label. It has a picture of a church on label.
I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea about this particular release. Google gave me info on current or recent releases but not on such an old one.
Thanks in advance
Dusan

I drank a bit of these when they were released, 90,91,92,94.
I would open it, and drink it, if its still ok. Depending on storage, you could be lucky. It is not a special wine.
cheers

Dusan, this wine was a good, slightly firm Clare Shiraz. I bought some for $11.45 in 1993 and drank them by about 2002 when I thought they were fully mature for my tastes.
If it has be kept in reasonable conditions and you like mature shiraz it may still be drinkable, otherwise it may be useful as drain cleaner.
One or more of this sold on Langtons sometime this year for $17++, so someone thinks it may still be alive.

I think it has been kept in a proper cellar (probably not temperature and humidity controlled) here in Brisbane. It seems that I will need a lot of luck when opening this bottle!
Thanks for your input guys.
On another note to those who are interested, I had Blueberry Hill Cab Sav 2001 the other day and was quite disappointed - I kept it in wine cooler all these years, but I think it must have been just too many years for it
Cheers

Yep definitely left too long. As owner John Howarth will tell you at the cellar door, Blueberry Hill wines are especially made for near-term drinking (very fruit driven).
Unfortunately their 2008/2009 vintages haven't impressed me at all, and I cancelled my membership. Not helped by the fact they have had such poor Hunter vintages recently.
