A whole bunch of small McLaren Vale winemakers have got together to showcase our wines at a tasting day at the Victory in September. Lots of great wines and a presentation on terroir by Drew Noon and Philip White.
The invitation and details can be seen at
http://mariuswines.com.au/ValeCru.pdf
I look forward to seeing you there.
Regards,
Roger

Friend raved about Alpha Box and Dice on recent visit. This sounds like such a fun event. Put it on the road and visit Brisbane
Ah, bugger it, I'll be in McLaren next year sometime, it'll be quicker.

It's a long drive to Victory and back. Has anyone thought about organising bus transport from the city down to the Victory? It would make for a much safer outing.

Called the Victory to book accommodation. The guy answering didn't know anything about the event. It IS 20th September, isn't it?
(I've already booked).
Sounds like a great event. Looking forward to it.
Cheers,
Mark

I should point out that Noons wines will not be available for tasting or purchase at the event as they are, as usual, sold out.
However, Drew Noon will be there on the day and will be talking about how different soil types affect the character and flavour of wine. Philip White will cover the topic from a geological viewpoint. Not to be missed!

Wow, if anyone is up to providing some notes on the "terroir" presentation I would be very greatful. Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up on this event. The wines on show and the venue make this a must do on my calendar. Just need to back up after the Saturday in the Barossa.
Oh bugger, just realised that on Tuesday 22nd I'm back in the Barossa with Muscat Mike.
It really is a tough life but I'll just need to make the sacrifice I suppose!
