Anyone going for the Magnums?

I missed out last year (overseas). Any recommendations (apart from buy all I can get my hands on  )?

Cheers,

Mark

I called Tony earlier this year and mentioned I missed out last year, so wanted to know when the offers were coming out this year. When told early July I groaned because I'm away for most of July.

After the huge response for my post  I'm beginning to think they sent my letter a little early.

The offer is for the second group from 2006. Sh/Mataro @$5 pb.
Sh/Malbec @ $48 pb. C/Sav @$50 pb. & Muscat @ $20pb.

1991 Malbec Magnums @ $280 pb.

Have to say, I can't belive they still sell their wines at this price. My only concern is when to stop buying, it stimulates an awareness of your own mortality to realise you may not last long enough to see some of these wines at their peak!

Cheers,

Mark

At $5 (?????) a bottle I would go for the Shiraz Mataro  . I am guessing this is $45, $50 or $55?

Wouldn't worry too much about it. In the 5 yrs I've been on the list, I've always had the red line (unsurprisingly), and I've always been given a reasonable amount.

I suspect the bulk of customers are in the "no special treatment" category.
