Should be a fun night.

Really good to see all the wines lined up at once. I did it for the first time last year at the Melbourne dinner, and was quite humble how the wines are aging.

I'm bringing my two other vineyard/winery staff over on a road trip for the dinner. So you will meet the entire crew.

Cheers

Ha this is the way to organise a wine dinner - make everyone pay upfront. Much less likely to have last minute drop outs this way.

Franco, be very interested to attend something similar in Sydney. Looks great.

Just an update.

The Hoddles Dinner is almost booked out, my thanks to those who have booked already.

We have about 5 places only left, so please do not hesitate or leave the decision to the last minute, numbers are srictly limited, and once all are taken, there can be no more.

Looking forward to this in a couple of weeks Gav.

Franco, myself and a couple of our vineyard workers are driving over through Coonawarra which should be good.

I deduce by the fact that this is unstickied that it is sold out.

Looking forward to it. Flying back into Adelaide from NZ on the day and arriving at 6:05pm so hope nothing untoward happens. Any other people younger than 40 going then? :P Not that I mind you oldies... ;)

Hello

Not quite sold out, but very full, we have 23 attending currently. Age is quite widely ranged, not all as old as me! Heck, the Hoddles guys are youngsters!!!

So, some of us old farts, some younger.

We'll try not to get our walking frames in your way!

I'm also 29 so obviously it does :)

Was a top night this. Thanks to all who put it together. Was great to meet the men behind Hoddles who seem like good blokes. Also appreciated the way they talked honestly about the wines rather than giving a sales pitch. Some very good wines were on display; I thought the 2008 Pinot Blanc and 1er Chardonnay showed particularly well.

Ditto. All of the Hoddles guys were super friendly and as down to earth as anyone could be. Thanks to Gavin for teeing it all up at my favourite restaurant too!

Thanks guys for a fantastic night.

We had a great night, and was fabulous meeting the crew from Adelaide.

We all had a sore head on the drive home. Thanks to the two young Hoddles guys we finished up at 4:30 in the morning and on the road at 8:30.

Cheers again, and a big thank you to Gavin for organising the night.
