Sorry chaps, cannot do the Thursday night. I am on my local Hockey clubs junior committee and we have a meeting that night. Plus I will probably have some running around to do preparing for my d'Arenberg dinner on the Friday night.

Even with Mark dropping out the number of people possibly going to this is starting to look a little scary - Duane reckons they're a good chance, and if Adrian & Nick both make it we're already up to 18-19 and that's really stretching things.
I only originally booked for 10-15, so I'll have to contact T-Chow tonight to see if we can fit the additional people and how many more we can add. Keep in mind also that if we go over 17 this is really pushing it as far as getting a decent pour out of the bottle, and there's a good chance that people will miss out on a few of the wines.
Updated list of those going:
Scanlon +3 (and maybe another 2

)
Welch +1
John#11 & Sue - 91 SSS, Escarpment 2006 Pinot, Options Pinot
David & Pam
silkwood
Gustav - 2001 Grosset Pinot Noir
n4sir - 1999 Penfolds Cellar Reserve Pinot Noir
Lagare Lout +2 (very probably)
Nick (late starter)
rooview +1 (maybe)
Cheers,
Ian

Ian, I'll drop out. I'll probably be Pinot'ed out from the Yarra Valley Grape Grazing, and I'm heading to the D'Arenberg evening on Friday anyway. I'll catch you guys at the next one.
Cheers,
Mark

I just got off the phone with T Chow, and as we already have two tables the extra people will be fine - I'll just have to confirm the exact numbers on the day.
With the latest dropouts it's now looking like this:

My options Pinot did not eventuate.
Any <<reasonable>> suggestions for a substitute wine?

Assuming that probably most of the rest of us are taking a Pinot Noir, something different (or somewhat related like Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc or Pinot Meunier) would be fine, especially if it's an option.
With Sarah's extra two now not coming there's room for Mark & Adrian if you guys change your mind at the last minute.
Cheers,
Ian

I've got a bottle of Pinot Blanc to bring now.
Can I bring a bottle of "palate cleansing" South Aussie Shiraz just in case ....

hehehe or maybe an Oregon Pinot

Duane's looking firm as a starter, although we've lost one of the +1s. This one's kind of snuck up pretty quickly with all the other things that are going on, but I've got my bottle (and a few backups) picked out and things ready to go - I'm still waiting to see what else others are taking.
Scanlon +3 - Louis Jadot, Ata Rangi & ??
Welch +1 - ??
John#11 & Sue - 91 SSS, Escarpment 2006 Pinot + ?

Gustav - 2001 Grosset Pinot Noir
n4sir - 1999 Penfolds Cellar Reserve Pinot Noir + a sticky
Lagare Lout +1 - Pinot Gris + ?
Nick (late starter)
The tables will be under the names Ian/Auswine Forum for 7pm, cost should be about $20-30/person cash, and don't forget BYO glasses.
Cheers,
Ian

Welch +1 are out - silly boy decided to have a knee operation this week, thinking the dinner was next week.
I have one person to fill thier spot, but they won't be drinking! (just sniffing & waxing lyrical)

Aye - sorry about that. My surgery date moved but I didn't think about the rest of my schedule.

Nice to see the bottle count is still over par; even on a school night!
By contrast, on the same night, we had a UK offline in local BYO friendly Chinese restaurant, and managed 6 bottles between 5 (oh and the bill came to $70 a head

)
