For me it's the 2009 Coleraine. Reckon it's still a long way away.

Had an 09 Coleraine two weeks ago. TCA, so never got to enjoy what is touted to be an amazing wine.

The guys at Te Mata told me a while ago that the 2008 is one of the best to drink right now. In a good place they say. I personally haven't tried it for years. It's good though, perhaps unfairly overshadowed on release by the 07 and 09

I recall the notes on 08 suggested it was shy early, and the years might be kind. i got a few, so must be time to find the right occasion and dive in.

At the Great Australian Red Cabernet Shiraz tasting with Matthew Jukes and Tyson Stelzer yesterday. Must say Wolf Blass BL is looking very impressive. Tried 6 different vintages 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17 all very smart, but the old world purists would say its illegal blending a Bordeaux and a Rhone
The 14 Yalumba Caley and 14 Majella Mallea would also be in the race, in 20 years.

If they were to say anything I suspect it would most likely be about them lacking terroir character because of the vineyard and regional blending.
