Wifey got the credit card statement yesterday, the same day that the Rockford mailer arrived...'spending a fair bit on wine aren't you?!' :oops: :oops:

Simple solution -- Separate credit card for wine purchases with statements delivered electronically. :wink:

Visit to CV day trip on sat.
Tim McNeil really impressed. 2nd visit . Halliday dark horse winery apparently.
Doing some great things. Great VFM and good honest service.

Visited the New Grosset Museum setup. nice. Just about anything and everything you could ever want Grosset wise.
Provenance A1. As always great service and nice to have the CD to ourselves!

Watervale pub for lunch. Relaunched recently and was very impressed for a casual/share plate local experience.

Scotty, will send Tim McNeil an email...might need a couple of cases of those clean skin Rizzas...just drinking some 2016 Crabtree clean skins at the moment...lovely at $8 a bottle
Along with Petaluma, Clos Clare, KT, Sevenhill, Pikes, Crabtree and a few others that i have forgotten...seems that the Riesling train has picked up a couple of extra carriages 8) 8)

Lots of excellent Rieslings around; some lesser known gems are Reg & Co plus Hill River Estate, great fruit - the best winemakers.

Opened one of these a few days ago with some pork belly at a local BYO.
A lovely claret style that's holding up and drinking well.

Sometimes these auction gambles pay off, very happy for the price. :P
