This year we are having a whole lamb and pork belly on a spit.
I have a 2002 Andersons Sparkling Shiraz (I’ve had one of these the last 4 years) and a NV St Hallett The Black Sparkling Shiraz lined up.
Cheers Con.
Finally worked out how to post a photo from the other thread.
Cheers Con.

That lamb looks amazing! Here in Singapore it's hard to find anything like this, I do miss it

My goodness, it is a bit early to be thinking of Christmas. In Canada we still have Thanksgiving and Rememberance Day coming. Actually, if all goes to plan, I might well be in Sydney for Christmas.
Mahmoud.

Thanks All.
I’ve been doing this every Christmas and Easter for nearly 25 years now using the same set up.
Don’t do a whole lamb every time, maybe once every 2 years, It’s lamb and chicken gyro usually and have been doing the pork belly for only a couple years now.
If you remember Christmas day was close to 40 degrees in Melbourne so I needed a lot of refreshments, that’s why I was asleep by about 6pm.
Cheers Con.

Now that I might be in Sydney this Christmas, I'm reminded that I have a couple of 2002 Seppelt's Original Sparkling Shiraz at the inlaws' place. There, as of now, I have thought of what to open this coming Christmas.
Cheers ................. Mahmoud.

Just hope to be alive at Christmas...
No only joking, but its been an interesting year; cancer, too much work, poor life balance...anyway taking a couple of days shortly to sort out the cellar, nearly broke my ankle last week falling off a ladder, after leaning out too far, with the other foot on a stack of boxes which promptly collapsed and hit the deck from five feet up!!
No broken bottles though...or bones
Might fish out a few of those 97s Jamie and an 86 and 90 Ovens Valley for you Mahmoud and Mr Hawk!!
Just a mere 80 days!!!
Cheers Craig
