I wouldn't worry about having too many wines...I don't think there is such a thing....
Someone will start bringing a white instead of an extra red or in addition to..there will be some balance..but even if we had all Pinot..*shrug*
.
It is just like the last casual offline..we had all reds..ended up with a decent number of whites...

Wise words Kevin. I was having a moment of weakness and foolishness.
Now I'm off to have a look around the vineyards of the Tamar and sample my fair share

Oh...nice Scott!
Hey, what happened to that Spätburgunder on the list I thought I saw at the start of this thread?
Anyway, I will bring one for some interest.

If you get a chance, Delamere is decent. I like the Chardy particularly. Nice, quiet cellar door too.

How often do you find DRC and Windy Peak mentioned in the same thread ? Alas, a trip to the cellar and much searching and carton shifting did not reveal a Sav Blanc of any stripe. I will have to settle instead for a 2006 Louis Jadot Charmes-Chambertin. Am really looking forward to this.

Nice one! We are heading home tomorrow but have done about 18 or so wineries in the last 6 days in those areas. Been quite impressed with some, less with others, generally not very impressed with the QPR. Will probably do a more detailed write up later this week after we get home. Did buy a fair bit of stuff including a fair bit of pinot (my wife's true first love) but think I will stick with the wines referred to above for this offline. Although the 2010 Apsley Gorge I think might hold its own in the line up...

Gents, unfortunately I'm out. Got some coughy/virus thing that I can't seem to shake. On antibiotics, so a bevvy of wine is not prescribed. I will reconfirm the booking tomorrow. Everything else is set. At the moment got 11 confirmed and two reserves.

If it helps at all, perhaps the wine was made with a bottle of Shiraz tipped into the barrel.
