Been in Margaret River for a few days, so bought a few to drag home with me.
Leeuwin Estate Art series Riesling and Cabernet, Cullen 03 Diana Madeline, Saracen Estate Chard, and Clairault Chardy. Bought a few other as well from Woodlands and Driftwood, but they were consumed down there. Plus a few bottles of Sticks Pinot at a Marg's restaurant Sat. night.
The local Dan Murphy's near my mates place in Perth also got a flogging from us, so bought (and drunk) a host of Jaboulet Crozes Hermitage, Villa Antinori Toscana, Wynns Black label and a few Yarra SV's (Debortoli and some other I cant remember!) plus we emptied his wine rack, and the case I brought with me.
It has been a hard week, am going home to dry out for two or three days!!

Heya Teisto, SNAP! I've got a little one arriving in October too. As a consequence, I'm trying to buy less, but of better quality.

Cheers,

Monghead.

Ha, I'm sure there will be a thread later in the year on the 2010's not to miss...

So far, anniversary years have been 96, 04. Hoping 10 will be just as good a year.

I've seen your better quality wines Monghead - would love to be able to splurge  My knowledge of Australian and NZ wines I think is pretty good.
As for French wines I am somewhat clueless - need to be able to try and read more.

I only have 2006 and the wedding in 2009. Very much looking forward to that thread on what to get from 2010.

It's just getting it past SWMBO is a tough ask at the moment. Especially when she isn't drinking

Well, a big congrats to you two. Hope the babies don't cramp your style too much!

Monghead, this must be putting a bit of a stop to the monthly 96s. Or are you now drinking on behalf of both of you?

Lovely news guys.

Well done joyous news. Probably the best thing about this period is that you have a designated driver for the next two years without any argument oh yes that the beautiful new wee one.

Thanks Kris.

I think the baby will just give us another reason/occasion to uncork something noice...

As to the monthly '96 thingy, we still partake in it... wifey just has a wee glass of vino once a month, and well, I have to do the responsible thing and ensure the rest of the bottle doesn't go to waste. Just been a little slack with posting in the monthly '96 thread.

Cheers,

Monghead.
