was pretty impressed with the 2007 Voyager Chardonnay but its hard to top Ambereys 2007 'First Selection' Chardonnay though for WA Chards...pity i cant find it at bottleshops :cry: , was purchased at the cellar door.

keep buying here and there on special 07 church rd reserve cab merlot. this really is exceptional value. $25-27 on special at supermarket at various 'sales'

Try not to make purchases during heat of summer, but now its starting to cool down
a trio of gold medal winners at reduced prices couldn't be passed by;

4 x 2007 Ringbolt Cab Sav on retailer reduction runout to get the 08 on to shelf.

Just about made it through the month having only bought:

2 x 2008 Passage Rock Reserve Syrah

but weakened last night & picked up:

6 x 2007 Paritua 2112 (a new HB bordeaux blend that's been getting uniformly excellent reviews)

Oh & 2 x 2000 Esk Valley The Terraces, in advance of next weekend's tasting.

Yep the 389 was Vintec driven. I currently have one for both red and white wines in the garage. Now I have one for each so I can run the temperatures to suit the wines :D :D

Yeah, I have no option given the extent of this obsession. I have a very noice little walkin room at Kennards at Waterloo with racking going up 10 feet or so. The top shelf is pretty well just riesling. I figure we go through around 70-80 bottles per year so I am aiming to get the total number up over 500 given I prefer them with 8-10 years in the bottle. The rest of the room is red stuff and sweet stuff. :D :D

Yes, access is 24 hours. I had actually forgotten about that benefit. I need to restock the wine fridges again so I may go tonight. If you are looking for a new lock up, ask for Phil, he runs the place.
