My first two hunches have been taken, so, it will have to be 538. What happens if more than one person picks the same number?

Cheers............Mahmoud.

I'll go for 555, and that's without reading the whole thread, so I hope I'm the first.

OK, so after doing a search I discover I'm the third to guess 555, so 550 it is !

OK, after doing a search for 550, I find I'm the third to guess that number, so I give up.

Smart thinking, but the crumbly ones go in the bin too. There was one cork with a chunk out of it I noticed when counting them, it would be about .8 though, so counted as 1.

If it gets down to no exact guess and numbers equidistant either side the guess-off will be how many Diams there are in the jar. I hope it doesn't come to that, I'll have to count them all over again. :-(

No, I've never found one willing to pay me enough. :-)
The weimaraners can tell the time, but they don't count too well.

I picked a number that someone else had already picked. Does that mean I can have another guess?

Damnation! There are two guesses 1 either side of the actual answer.
Christo on 590
Actual count 591
PaulV 592

Will those 2 persons please hazard one guess each as to the number of Diam corks in the total to determine the winner.

Mumble, grumble, have to go through them all over again...
