Thanks RB,
I will try to hunt down a bananna flower. Not sure where i'll get one though. I 'll try Ebay.
I'll also get the "The Oxford Companion to Wine" book, with my next amazon order.
cheers, aj_syrah
Out of the Loop

All,
I have been out of the loop for a while but.
1. Tried the subject wine last night - my view - it's this sort of wine that makes it worthwhile to live - just wonderful for the price and stunning at 3-4 times that..This is a genuine bargain if you love red wine.
2. Opened a 1998 Fox Creek Reserve Shiraz on the same night. The review posted a few days ago is right on. This is just wonderful stuff - full - rich - integrated oak and still very much alive! (I reckon still has 2-3 years at least)
3. Just opened a Zonte's Footstep S/V 2004. This has started to have the Viognier and Shiraz really meld and is drinking just fabulously as I type.
Cheers
David.

Thanks for the tip guys. Tracked down a case and down to seven. A unique and great wine. Marching to it's own beat. Aussie needs more wines like this, totally individual and may polarise tastes but no doubt about quality. Drink six now and six in 15 years. Minty but 15% is not apparent.

Anyone know where I can source a single bottle of this in Brisbane?
With all the hype, I just have to try it.
Thanks,
Stuart
