If you've been drinking big reds for a while (like i had when i decided to give the pinot thing a go) it might be hard to get into the lighter euro styles to start with - have to get those tastebuds to wake up to subtlety!

probably others on the board will think of it as a travesty, but i started with a K1 geoff hardy pinot (adelaide hills) which has a bit more body to it.

my favourites now are the ashton hills range (try their sparkling salmon brut too!) and the kooyong ferrous.

try and have your pinot with food too - it makes a huge difference
