Welcome to the group Des, look foward to seeing you there. As Peter said if you can register that would be great, then I can post out final details to everyone if necessary.

As for the theme, I think the "best of millenium" vintage sounds good, 98 or 96. If we get a mix of the two we can have a vote on which vintage really was the best.

Is anyone interested in bringing a white, sticky or bubbly, or are we just better off bringing whatever we feel like? I have a couple of reds that will fit nicely into our theme but I can bring something else if we want some variety or a bit of formal structure (ie start with a bubbly and finish with a sticky).

Paul,

I will bring a couple of stickies as well as a red to fit the profile of the evening if someone else wants to sort out the bubbles.

We are set for Wed night, a grand total of 8 of us. The venue is Jacques at 292 Hay St, Subiaco (9388 1323). The booking is under the name Sheldon for 7pm. The theme is the 96 and 98 vintages being the best of the last decade or millenium or something similar, in particular South Australia but don't feel overly restricted on that one.

See you all there.

See you there

Will try and dig up some 96/98, but may be WA. I hope you can all stomach that !
Cheers, Duncan

Actually I did think you were allowed out alone, but I will add 1 more to the list...the more the merrier! And I am sure some local wine won't go astray either, we should have a pretty good selection from the sounds of it.
